The hersheys chocolate factory and corning museum were kinda lame, but they were in the itinerary simply cos we were moving from somewhere south all the way to the north to visit niagara falls.

Stayed in niagara falls, NY that night, and the next morning we went to er, the falls again. This was at goat island?

daddy and mummy went up skylon tower which i was too cheap to go up for, and came down with this picts of the american falls, but none with the 2 of them. they can't survive without me as their photographer..

we then watched some lame imax movie about the myth of niagara falls and how some indian princess jumped down cos she didn't wanna marry some ugly fella and had to leave her village in disgrace and that is why the ferry that takes you near the falls is called 'Maid of the Mist'. (?!) Well, they also featured the daredevils who jumped down the falls and these are some of the actual barrels/containers that they went down the falls in.

we then had lunch at wendy's, and took photos at the entrance of the Ripley's Believe It Or Not cos it was free haha.

We had planned to ski/snowboard for a couple of days, before heading off for our vacation. However.. 天不作美.. Weirdest winter ever, with no snow for the longest time.. Sighs. So on top of a non-white Christmas, pb didn't get to ski. Anyways, we did manage to find some places to visit in happening cleveland.

We decided to visit the amish village.. we were hoping to find some countryish furnishings, clocks and deco for Adrine and Sahyi. The problem was that, their shops all close at 5pm but by the time we managed to reach, it was already 4ish.. boo. We did see a couple of vintage clocks but nothing extremely pretty.. and soon it reached 5, and everyone promptly closed shop. Did manage to catch a couple of horse buggies though.

Dinner was at my favourite.. Cracker Barrel! Also hoping to see any countryish furnishings for them but didn't manage to find anything suitable. Bleah. pb asked for warm water, and they served it in a little teapot, complete with honey and lemon, and we weren't charged for it! Really sweet of them.

Creeping nearer to 2007! We spent the next day at Niagara Falls.. Yeah, getting pretty bored of that place, haha. Especially since I just went there on Monday! I was pretty surprised to learn that the state speed limit in New York is 55mph..

Boneless wings, and a pizza for lunch. I've recently discovered a love for raw celery. It is so fragrant!! It kinda worries me though, that I'm starting to like food that old people like. You know, when you're young u don't like vegetables, spring onion/ginger/garlic.. brinjals and ladies' fingers.. and along the way, not only do you start accepting them, you actually start LIKING them? It just kinda slots you into the old people category and it's.. worrying. Sigh.

just spent half an hour uploading and organizing photos on flickr to find out that.. the free membership only gives you 3 sets. BOO. anyway. this posting is supposed to be on Niagara falls! i'll post some mundane crap first before going to that. heehee.

Friday evening: i was feeling antisocial, so i didn't join the rest at bahama breeze.. instead i stayed in and ate.. my corky and lenny's half eaten burger..

Saturday (17th June 2006) was spent on Gus the Bus.. It brings you around Cleveland. It wasn't particularly exciting cos we just rode around and didn't get off much.. but the tour guides did explain lots about the city's history altho no one really listened.. But it was a good tour cos now we know where we should visit when we can drive around later!

There was a gay pride parade going on at rock and roll boulevard.. cool stuff.. i love the flag its so pretty.. and check out this following flag. it has a paw on it! =) dunno what it stands for tho.

after gus the bus, we reached the inn at about 3pm. After which chinyong, chingyuh, sathya and me went to the Aurora Farm premium outlets! hohoho.. shopping like no one's business! here're the purchases for myself: heehee.. adidas, aeropostale and fossil.. happiness can actually be attained with money!

OK! finally done w random stuff. now for niagara falls!!!!! Sunday, 18 june 2006. George led the way for the managers and er, me and kevin.. we had such great fun. it was tremendously beautiful. Just being there makes you feel in awe of the natural surroundings.. It's labelled by some as a natural wonder of the world, but it's not even like, part of the top wonders. After seeing it, i've decided i gotta go visit each of the 7 wonders of the world.. erm, the modern world of course. tho i dont exactly know which ones they are cos there are so many versions. haha..

anyway, i think the americans are really lucky to have such awesome sights near their home. at the state park, people were just sitting around and having picnics.. it reminded me of how we go to east coast park in spore, just that they can casually go to FREAKING NIAGARA FALLS on sundays.. or Fathers' day. sob.

me, kev and sebastian also passed george a fathers' day card to show our appreciation.. with a curious george theme. hee. hope he liked it.

i saw for my first time.. sea gulls!! and also a ladybird! couldn't take the ladybird in time tho. Don't laugh at me, but they don't have ladybirds in spore, only ugly olive green beetles that irritate the hell out of u at night. I was starting to wonder if they (ladybirds) are fact or fiction.. hoho but they are real and as cute as can be =)

my SMALL icecream cone consisted of 3 freaking scoops. look at the state of mine after a few minutes.. tsk.. horrible mess.
